38 Weeks and 2 days

We had our weekly doctors appointment today. Everything looks perfect! I am only 1 cm dialated but I am 50% effaced. Both great news for me! My doctor said we will see how it looks next Tuesday. If my cervix is still looking good I can be induced by Wednesday if we want. Yes if she is not here on her own by next Wednesday we will be choosing to be induced! We will keep you posted!

Pregnancy Pictures by KariAnne

So a couple of weeks ago my great friend and awesome photographer KariAnne came over to take some pregnancy pics for me. Although I was not too excited about having my picture taking when I feel like a big blob I knew it is something I wanted to have so I could show Calleigh. As always KariAnne did an amazing job. Below are a few that she took. If anyone is in need of a photographer you can check out her blog http://secretsmilestudio.blogspot.com/. Thanks again KariAnne! I can't wait for you to take Calleigh's first pictures :)

37 Weeks...and 2 days

We went to the doctor this morning. Everything is fine. Calleigh is positioned correctly (head down) which is great news! They will check my cervix and all that good stuff at next weeks appointment. She seems to have dropped once and is settling in. I have been having a few contractions. Nothing too big and not at all regular. Mostly just annoying! I am uncomfortable and ready to be done. There I said it! I feel puffy everywhere, I have carpel tunnel in my right hand, my legs hurt and I am sick of going to the bathroom! I just needed to vent a little :) I haven't attacked Ben too much. I think he knows when to disappear to the garage. Poor guy.
We went for a small hike out at State Patrol yesterday. I haven't been out there since our little run in with the snakes. I forgot how much Scooby loves it and this was Phoebe's first time. She absolutely loved it! I felt a ton better after walking too. Here are some pics. Of course I hate the ones of me. But look at my little puppies! So happy!

35 Weeks

We had another Doctor's appointment Monday. Not much new to report. Calleigh is getting bigger. I am running out of room for her! I am now 35 weeks and that means if I were to go into labor today they would not do anything to stop it. They would prefer anytime after 37 weeks. I am feeling pretty good still. A little uncomfortable. Of course I am having trouble getting comfortable and sleeping. I can't get up as fast as I used to. I pretty much feel old! But again it is not that bad. I know for sure other women have had it a million times worse so I am just trying to enjoy these last weeks. I watch my belly everyday to see her move. I pay attention to the kicks and punches and of course I like to try to figure out what bump is an arm, leg or head. The nursery is pretty much done and I think we have most of what we need. My mom is coming for a week and I am so excited to see her and have her help. My mom always makes me feel better and I know she will be a huge help for Ben and I. Plus we have all of Ben's family and our friends that are willing to help out. So now we just wait!

2008

I can't believe 2008 is gone already! I know we say that every year but this year was especially busy. We started 2008 with a new edition to our family, Miss Phoebe. We became engaged in April. Found out we were pregnant in June. Got married in October. Now we will start 2009 the same way as 2008. With a new edition to our family! This year has been full of so many good things for us it is unbelievable. Through it all we have somehow stayed focused on the most important thing. Each other! So Happy New Year! 2009 should be a great year for everyone!

5 AM on a Saturday

So here I am again up by 5:30 on a Saturday. This time it was Phoebe who woke me up but Calleigh who is keeping me up. Phoebe ate a few things yesterday that she shouldn't have like underwear and a scotch tape dispenser. So I woke up to the sound of a dog gagging under my blankets. Did not get her off the bed in time but my hand made it to the puke just perfectly. I didn't even gage that much! So I tried to go back to sleep but Calleigh is awake and moving a lot so I decided to get up and enjoy a quiet morning while I can. I don't have too many left!

Yep Still Pregnant!

We had a doctors appointment today. It was supposed to be at 9:15 am. I actually did not see the doctor until almost 10:15 am. Now while I like my doctor and his nurse I do not like waiting for an hour after my appointment. I know they can get behind and I know that either way I need to be there. BUT...I still get annoyed. It is in my nature. Not to mention I am 8 months pregnant so things annoy me more than usual these days. Good thing Ben was there to tell me not to get annoyed. LOL That helped! Ok so all that aside I am now 33 weeks pregnant and everything is perfect. My doctor commented today that I still have no stretch marks (which I am extremely proud about) and that we only have about 7 weeks to go! WOW! I was looking at a magazine at the doctors office called "watch my baby grow" or something like that. It was a picture of the baby for each month of pregnancy. I am so amazed that my little blueberry grew to be so big in such a short amount of time. Of course it didn't seem so short when my head was in the toilet or now that I can't get my butt off the couch without a little pull from Ben.

Christmas is here in less than a week. I don't know how that got here so quick either. I am excited this year because we get to be in our own house for Christmas Morning. I plan on waking up, making a nummy breakfast, relaxing with Ben, Scooby, and Phoebe and opening presents. Scooby cannot wait! I put some stuff in Ben's stocking and Scooby just sits and stares at it. He thinks all the presents are for him. Phoebe has not figured it out yet.

Here's a belly pic for you all! I don't like it! But I won't like any others either.
